Mother's Little Helper
The Rolling Stones
(Jagger/Richards)
What a drag it is getting old
"Kids are different today"
I hear ev'ry mother say
Mother needs something today to calm her down
And though she's not really ill
There's a little yellow pill
She goes running for the shelter of a mother's little helper
And it helps her on her way, gets her through her busy day
Doctor please, some more of these
Outside the door, she took four more
What a drag it is getting old
Does this give you an idea of what the last few days at my house have been like? Mostly because of my three year old. He has been a complete holy terror lately. If I didn't love him so much I would have to strangle him. Figuratively speaking of course. Just about every time either me or my hubby says something to Hunter or tells him to do something the answering scream is ear piercing. A simple request like please take that toy to your room is followed by his refusal. We ask again. He whines that he doesn't want to. The request is made in a slightly louder voice. His answer? He drops to the floor crying that we've hurt his heart. This is about the time that after doing this same routine all day long, I tell him if he doesn't go put his toy away I might just hurt his butt instead of his heart! I don't know if this is a phase or what but he better get over it soon. Xanax take me away!!!
