Teaser Tuesdays

Linking up with She Who Blogs Behind the Rows for Teaser Tuesdays. Open up your current read, and tease us a little bit...

"The least those idiots at the Bureau could have done was to name him the "Aphrodite murderer," a more accurate and poetic name than the more popular name-Venus de Milo-for the same statue."

More on this book later, when I do my review on it.

Show some bloggy love!

Just a quick post for now, I promise I'll be back later with more. I have a good friend who just published her very first blog post today. She's a hell of a woman who has been through a lot in her life. She's a mommy blogger of 3 wonderful children and also works full time. She has a hubby who I will admit can be a pain in the ass, just like the rest of our hubbys can be at times. She's struggling to find her way through this maze we call life and could really use some love and support. So I immediately thought about all of you out there in the blogsphere and decided to pimp out her blog. Please stop by and check her out.

Facebook posts that made me giggle...

This was so much fun! I'm going to have to do this kind of post more often. Some of these are mine and some of them are borrowed. If you recognize your own Facebook post on here, thank you. Hope they make you giggle too.

You know it's not a good sign when Hunter walks in the room and for no reason says "Mommy, me and Holly are being good."

This day has just started and if I hear my kids tattle on each other for some stupid little thing, one more damn time, I'M GOING TO SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many days duct tape would be my first choice, but I've had to learn to use restraint! lol

Well as much as I love my quiet time, I'm almost too tired to think. But don't worry, you won't have to miss me for long. I'll be back and refreshed in the morning! lmao. Good Night all! :)

You know, I've noticed that one half of my fb profile looks like a family reunion and the other half looks like a high school reunion! lol

What a lunch time dilemma, I had to choose between soup or a Reese's cup, sigh, I was good this time and picked the soup. But I have a date later with the Reese's! lol

One day, while going to the store, I passed by a retirement home. On the front lawn were six old ladies lying naked on the grass.
I thought this was a bit unusual, but continued on my way to the store. On my return trip, I passed the same retirement home with the same six old ladies lying naked on the lawn.
I went inside to talk to the Home Administrator.
'Do you know there are six ladies lying naked on your front lawn?'
'They're retired prostitutes, and they're having a yard sale

You know it's going to be a long day when you have to fight with the coffee maker and the coffee maker wins;/

The wife touched at him caring says "Yes, I do."You remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car and shoved a shotgun in my face and said, "Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years".I remember" she replies softly. Missing Bubby

Over the weekend Jordyn went to a sleep over at a friend's house and the same night Hunter went to my BFF's house to stay the night with her boys. You'd think that would lead to peace and quiet since I only had one kid at home that night right? Well you're wrong. Holly went around all evening and when she was suposed to be sleeping, yelling "Bubby, Bubby!" She was so cute. My poor baby missed her big brother so much. She knocked on all the doors in the house yelling for him too. Her crib is in Hunter's room too so she kept looking at his bed yelling for him. I felt so bad for her.

When he finally came home yesterday evening, she was super happy to see him! She followed him everywhere, and couldn't give him enough hugs and kisses. They wrestled on the floor and then snuggled on the couch until it was bedtime. I think he was just as happy to see her as she was to see him. They were adorable!

A little bit of this, A little bit of that.

I think this has had to have been the longest week in history! I am so ready for it to be over with. Poor Holly, I took her to the doctors yesterday cause for two days she had had what I thought was a really bad diaper rash. I tried three different diaper rash creams and baby powder. Nothing worked. Come to find out she has a yeast infection. I never would have guessed that one. So they give me a cream to use on her three times a day but it seems to be getting worse instead of better. I called them back today and they are calling her in a different cream. Although this one can cause liver problems so now I have to watch out for that!

Earlier today while Jordyn was at school, me, hubby, Hunter and Holly ventured out to the laundry mat. I did four triple loaders and it didn't even put a dent in the pile of dirty laundry! And oh my goodness did my legs and back hurt by the time we were done. Though I don't know why I say "we" when it was actually ME. His ob was to keep the younger two entertain and out of trouble and he didn't even do that very well. By the time we got home he was snapping at all of us like he had actually done something and was exhausted. And who has to then still take care of the kids, put laundry away, get Jordyn off the bus, and feed the kids? Yep, you guessed it, ME!

So while doing dishes I ask him to take the trash out and he acts like I'm asking him to perform brain surgery or something. Even though it was then 5 o'clock and he hadn't moved his ass out of the recliner since we got home at 1:30. So, I'm now on strike where he's concerned. I am doing absolutely nothing for him until I get a sincere apology and he starts helping out more. He got pissy, then helped with the kids a little bit, while claiming not to feel good even though he never mentioned feeling sick until I asked him to do something.

And the kids, don't even get me started on them! I'm just ready to beat their sweet little heads together! Don't judge, I know you've had the urge to do the same thing a time or two. The only good one today has been Jordyn and she was at school the majority of the day. Hunter and Holly  have been off the freaking charts. Not listening, running through the house, beating on each other, I can't even list all of their offenses today.

I am just praying for bedtime to come quickly. Followed by a long hot shower and then crawling into nice fresh sheets, my favorite blanky, and a good book.

Seriously Thursday

It's my favorite time of week, time to link up with From Mrs. to Mama for another round of Seriously?! Thursday. I know I haven't joined in in a while but I've Seriously been thinking of you all!

Seriously...Poor Holly has had a bad diaper rash for two days now. I've tried two different diaper rash creams and baby powder. Nothing is working! I'm taking her to the doctors later today. I hope they can make my baby feel better.

Seriously...What the hell is with the weather?! One day it's in the 90's and we're sweating our booties off, I wish that was really possible, don't you, the very next day it's in the 50's and 60's. WTF?!

Seriously...After quite a bit of conflict between my hubby and my Ohio BFF, which led to me and her not talking for like a month, we're finally talking and hanging out again! Yay! I've missed her so much! There's still conflict between them but it's not hurting our friendship anymore.

Seriously...All my hubby does is bitch and moan that I spend too much time texting or on the computer yet he doesn't really talk to me anyways so what the hell does it matter to him! It's not my fault that he can't maintain meaningful friendships. Why should I have to suffer for it.

Well, I guess that's enough Seriouslys for one day! See you all next week!

Meet Me On Monday Blog Hop

It's been awhile since I joined in on the fun so I thought I'd give it a shot today.

1. What is your favorite food?
Mmm, a nice juicy steak! With a side of french fries with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on them and dipped in sour cream. Don't judge, it's sooo yummy!

2. What color scheme is your bedroom?
A bedroom? What's that like?! The hubby and I sleep on a futon in the living room.

3. Do you carry a donor card?
No, I don't. I go back and forth on if I want to be an organ donor or not. Although in my book, anybody who is an organ donor, is a hero!

4. In your opinion, is the glass half empty or half full?
Depends on what day you catch me on! Today I'm exhausted and overwhelmed so I'd have to say half empty. Get me on a better day, and I'd say half full. Hey, it is a woman's perogative to change her mind and I take that right very seriously!

5. Vanilla or Chocolate?
Chocolate, Chocolate, and more Chocolate!!! I love it when the kids are all in bed and I can sneak into the fridge, yes I like my chocolate cold, and indulge. Damn, is it bedtime yet?

"You just hit me with a damn spider!"

Omg the funniest and yuckiest thing happened to me last night! I got smacked in the forehead with a dead spider! You can't help the morbid curiosity that's going to make you keep reading this right? I know. So here's how it happened. I was sitting outside talking to my neighbor's son Joe. All of a sudden I see this huge spider crawling across the ground. Now if you know me at all then you know I don't do spiders! The conversation that followed went something like this...

Me: Eew Joe, kill that spider!!!
Joe: Uh uh, you kill it!
Me: No, you're the boy, you kill it!
Joe: I'm scared of spiders, you kill it!
Me: No way, you're the man here, you kill it!
Joe: I'm not a man yet!
Me: (laughing) Then it will make a man out of you!

This is about the time I start throwing rocks at it.

Me: Step on it Joe!
Joe: You step on it!!!
Me: No, I have open toed shoes, yours are better for this.
Joe: Then I'll give you my shoe and you can step on it!

So Joe builds up his courage and throws one of his shoes at it. Complete miss! So he throws the other one. Misses again. And his shoes aren't small either. So I looked down and saw this big rock. I was going to stand above it and drop the rock on it. Joe says "No, give it to me, I have better aim." Throws and misses. My 3 year old could have hit the damn thing. So Joe picks up his empty water bottle to smash this spider. He had to have tried to hit it at least 5 or 6 times, missing most of the time. Finally, he picks up his shoe and smacks the spider a couple of times. Yay it's dead! End of story right? Uh No. The dead spider is stuck to the bottom of his shoes. He then pretends like he's going to throw the shoe at me. Instead the damn spider flies off, smacks me in the forehead, lands on my shirt then on my pants when I jump and finally ends up on the ground in front of me where I fling it!

I was so shocked that all I can do is laugh! Although I did smack Joe a couple of times for good measure. Joe laughed so hard he about peed himself! It was so crazy I couldn't even be mad. I just kept saying in between giggles "You just hit me with a damn spider!"

Daily Ramblings

OK first, I have a small rant. Why is it that my 3 year old son is obsessed with his "peanut" already and my 18 month old daughter will not keep her damn diaper on???!!! At first it was only when Holly was in her bed that she would take her diaper off. Usually right after I had put fresh new bedding on it. Now not 2 minutes after you put the diaper on her, she takes it off no matter where she is or who is there. Now I understand Hunter's obsession to an extent but did this fascination really have to kick in so soon? And I can't help the thought every time Holly takes hers off that she's starting self exploration way too soon. Is that area really that sensitive this early in life? Please tell me that somebody else is having this crisis too!!!

Now that that is out of my system, we can move on. Today was a surprisingly productive day. I really did not want to clean today but it REALLY needed to be done. Honestly, it was the hubby who made me get motivated today. Now here comes the truly shocking part. HE HELPED ME CLEAN! I know right?  I'll wait while all you jealous wives recover from shock... And he didn't just pretend to help either. He really truly helped. He laughs when I tell him this but I know you ladies will understand and agree. When your man helps you clean, especially without complaining, it is SUCH a turn on! I see your heads nodding in agreement. And it puts you in a way good mood doesn't it?  I know a hubby who is pretty much guaranteed some lovin's tonight.

I'm finally back!!!

Wow this has been the longest 2 weeks of my life without my computer!!! I didn't think I was going to make it quite a few times. A couple times I tried writing the old fashioned way, you know, with a pen and paper...I shudder at the thought...but it just wasn't the same as typing my posts. My poor hand just can't keep up with my brain I guess.

On top of not having my precious computer, the first week I didn't have my phone either! I know, the horror right? It was awful. Except for my twice a day trip to Jordyn's bus stop, I had almost nobody to talk to but these short people who call me Mommy and whine at me all day. I about lost my mind. I so missed all of my facebook friends and bloggy buddies. I promise I'll try to never leave you again!

I'd like to tell you that I have a ton of interesting or amusing things to tell you since I've been gone, but sadly I don't. I didn't really accomplish much and I was so bored and irritated most of the time that the creative juices just weren't really flowing.

Well now it's time for me to spend some time catching up on all the amazing posts I've missed. Oh, before I forget. Before I went missing, I wrote another product review on my other blog Mommy's Naughty Side. Don't forget to check it out.
