Father's Day Gift

This is what our kids gave the hubby for Father's Day this year. I ordered it online from Walmart. The idea was to surprise him but Hunter can't be trusted with a secret. I hid the presents in the closet and as soon as hubby walked in the door, Hunter yells "Daddy, there's a present for you in the closet!" So he got his present early.

Daddy, Take my hand in yours and you will plainly see, How very much I need you now to love and care for me. As my little hand grows, I will need you even more, Everything I do in life, I have never done before. Teach me to be kind and loving, sharing and forgiving, Show me through your acts of love the pure joy of living. The years will pass by quickly and one day I will be grown, I will pass what you have taught me onto children of my own. Hold me always in your thoughts and remember when we are apart, The special love between a child and a daddy's heart.
Love, Jordyn, Hunter, Holly

  1. That is so sweet. The days in the year that I miss my Dad the most. His birthday, the date of his death, and Father's Day.

I'm glad your children are learning how important Dad is. Have a great weekend.

  2. That is so sweet! I love it. Because of the title, I am now hearing the old country song "Daddy's Hand" by Kathy Mattea (I think that was her name). Happy Father's Day!
